I had to bottle-feed him starting at 2 weeks. He loves to be held like a baby and loved. His favorite activity is to fetch the paper and bring it back to me. When he hears the fax machine, he runs to try and grab the paper as it moves through the machine. Scar loves to take walks on his leash and sit with me on the porch.” Charlie Breed: Chihuahua Human: Danielle Kemp “Charlie is unique because he came from the Laurens County puppy mill bust through the Charleston Animal Society. He arrived to us January 17, 2020 and was just 8 weeks old — and so tiny at one pound and seven ounces. Our plan was just to foster him, but his charm and adorableness won us over. He is as sweet as he is cute. He joined our pack of five other local rescue dogs. We are grateful to the team at Charleston Animal Society for all they do for the animals.” Haylee Jeanne Breed: Mutt – Part German shepherd and part corgi Human: Debra Sanders “My dog, Haylee Jeanne, was dumped in the South Bronx and left to die when she was about 2 years old. I said I would take her for 2 weeks, as she was very sick. She is now 15 and a half years old. Haylee Jeanne has had some issues we’ve had to work through, but we have made it.” Benny Breed: Labrador retriever Human: Katherine White “He is the sweetest, “good- est” boy and always listens. Especially when food is involved. He is never sad.”
