The volunteers involved also take immense pride and satisfaction knowing the pets are now happy, safe and secure in a permanent enclosure. Community support and advocacy is critical in ensuring these programs continue to make an impact. Cash and in-kind donations help support the construction of fenc- es, while hosting fundraisers, manning tables and booths, attending pop-up events and sharing information on the importance of giving pets their freedom — and how Pet Helpers is addressing this issue — are also incredibly valuable.
