and, among other things, gone so far (literally) as to drive a foster dog cross-country to its adoptive family. Hannah came first to the home, a beautiful brindle puppy from Palmetto Paws Animal Rescue. She is now big sister to Finley, a foster fail from a small local rescue. Hannah quickly attached herself to and welcomed Finley to the family before David and Kerryanne even knew what was happening. Finley was at an adoption event outside of a local market. He was a shy boy, seemingly worried and apparently afraid of everything. Kerryanne was asked if she would consider fostering, and, a text to David and a couple of cellphone photos later, they agreed. Within two hours of bringing Finley home as a foster, he and Hannah were playing as though they’d known each other forever. Hannah knew what the Terrys didn’t: Finley was the missing piece of their family puzzle. During the photo session, the love David and Kerryanne have for Hannah and Finley was evident in every pat, every stroke of their fur, every laugh at the dogs wrestling and every gaze while the dogs were smiling or leaning in for some affection from Mom and Dad.
