Once the dust settled following the Fur Ball, we connected the win- ning bidders with Jeanne so they could schedule the photo session, from which the cover image would be selected by our art department. In communicating with Kerryanne, it was clear how much she and David adored their two rescue dogs, Hannah and Finley. Like Jeanne and I, they were looking forward to the cover shoot. By Jeanne Taylor The day of the photo shoot arrived, and I was greeted by two exuberant dogs who welcomed me into their stunning coastal home after introducing me to their parents, David and Kerryanne Terry. We were going to shoot outdoors, so we all adjourned to the manicured backyard to enjoy Kerry- anne’s lovingly maintained garden, the quiet creek that runs along the back of the property and the general feel of the Lowcountry. I couldn’t have special ordered a better loca- tion or more friendly hosts – who also happen to look like catalog models. And I learned quickly that our cover-model dogs, Hannah and Finley, hit the pet-parent jackpot when they were adopted. The Terrys don’t just talk the talk when it comes to animal rescue. This incredibly busy, two-career Mount Pleasant couple not only dotes on their precious pups, but they also find spare time to volunteer with area rescues. In addition to being generous supporters, they have fostered Photo by Jeanne Taylor.
