Mount Pleasant Pets 2021-22
E www.MtPleasant.Pet | www.MPVets.Pet | www.facebook.com/MPpets MP PETS P U B L I S H E R ’ S N O T E I have so much to share since the last issue of Mount Pleas- ant Pets, but first, I have to get something off my furry chest. I am kinda mad at my buddy, Bill. As you know, he helps me publish Mount Pleasant Pets, but sometimes, I think he thinks he’s the publisher. I’m mad because I wanted to be on the cover but no — Bill wanted to put a Boykin spaniel on the cover this time. I know, I know … the Boykin is the state dog. Truth be told, as I was edit- ing, I did learn a lot about our state dog, and I think you will too. Still, whose magazine is this anyway? I should be the star! Whenever I chat with my buddy Bill about the magazine, he always talks about the hard work that goes into publishing. For once, he’s not exaggerating. I’m grateful to all the editors, writers, designers, contributors and photographers — like Jeanne Taylor, who took the front cover photo and lots of others. It really makes my day, working with all the creative minds here at Mount Pleasant Pets. Thanks to COVID-19, Bill and I have been spending a lot of time in the office by ourselves. When someone visits, we wear our masks. Since I’m a dog, I probably don’t have to wear mine, but there’s nothing wrong with being safe. Plus, it keeps our guests from having to catch a whiff of my doggie breath. Speaking of the quarantine, my pack and I got together recent- ly and started talking about the state of our world and how our two- legged friends are spending much more quality time at home with us. We love it. We also know, deep down, that we are providing comfort to our humans during these strange times, and we are happily up to the task. Please remember that you can always read Mount Pleasant Pets online, at www.MountPleasant.Pet . Not only can you share the digital magazine, you can even find local veterinar- ians, groomers, doggie bakeries — everything to make our lives better.
