It seems like just yesterday I was telling y’all how much I loved my buddy Bill for helping me publish Mount Pleasant Pets . It was very special that he took the time to guide me through the process of publishing a magazine. At home he is always on his computer late at night or on his phone while I’m eating, and now I know why – publishing is hard work. A lot has happened to me since the last edition of Mount Pleasant Pets . For instance, when it was snowing this past winter, my buddy Bill convinced me to take a ride with him. I had concerns, especially because there were no other cars on the road. The first picture is me in front of the Mount Pleasant sign at the Long Point Road exit of I-526. Even with my thick, curly hair, I could feel the piercing cold. There’s something else I wanted to share with you. Christmas was get- ting close, and I heard my buddy Bill talking to this guy named Tom Crawford. When he got off the phone, he started talking fast and his eyes got wide. I held my breath because I know when he gets like this, there is no telling what’s going to happen next. “Yo Charlie. You want to go on ‘Low- country Live’ with me?” he blurted out. Bill is an excellent blurter. I’m thinking to myself that he’s crazy. We have this agreement that we cannot have a conversation in front of anyone, under any circumstances. So I’m thinking: What could I possibly say to all the people watching ‘Lowcountry Live’? As it turned out, I didn’t have to say anything. “I’ll do all the talking. Just sit there and look cool,” Bill told me. Knowing that Bill is a bit of a motormouth, I figured it wouldn’t be a challenge for him to do all the talking. We went on “Lowcountry Live,” and my buddy Bill did a good job telling everyone about Mount Pleasant Pets . The picture is me, Bill and Tom Crawford. Speaking of the holidays, every year, everyone at Mount Pleasant Pets helps with the Mount Pleasant Magazine float for the Christmas Parade. Bill really, really likes being part of this commu- nity event. This past year, we were all ex- cited because Mrs. Claus was on our float. I don’t know how my buddy Bill worked that one out, but it was so cool. This is a picture with me, Mrs. Claus and a bunch of her elves. I couldn’t leave you without bringing up the silly shirt my buddy Bill bought for our company photo shoot. “My Dog Has The Best Owner Ever.” Can you believe it? Now don’t miss understand me. Bill is a great friend. But are you kidding me? No one owns me. After all, I’m the publisher of Mount Pleasant Pets . I’m my own dog. But I knew he wanted to wear that silly shirt, so I said OK because he is my buddy. I hope y’all like this issue of Mount Pleasant Pets , and I hope that you visit our Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/MP- pets, and our website, www.MtPleasant.Pet . One last thing: I’m very proud of how Mount Pleasant Pets gives back to the community. Take a look at page H and please give when- ever you can. My fellow four-legged friends really appreciate it. Sincerely, Charlie the goldendoodle CHARLIE’S PUB NOTE With my buddy Bill U
